Al Hilal have been recognised for their perfect recent run in the Roshn Saudi League by picking up two awards for October.
The 2023-24 RSL champions were rewarded for gleaning nine points from a possible nine across matchweeks 5-7, with summer appointment Simone Inzaghi picking up Manager of the Month and Yassine Bono named Goalkeeper of the Month.
Al Hilal did not concede once in their three matches, a stretch that comprised a 5-0 win at Al Ettifaq, a standout 2-0 victory in the Saudi Clasico at champions Al Ittihad, and last Friday’s 1-0 success in the Riyadh derby at home to Al Shabab.
The latter moved Al Hilal up to second place in the standings, although they concluded Matchweek 7 in third. They trail leaders Al Nassr by four points.
Meanwhile, Player of the Month went to in-form Al Khaleej playmaker Konstantinos Fortounis, who played a huge role in his side maintaining their super start to the season.
The Greek international scored twice and registered three assists as Al Khaleej went unbeaten through October, including having a hand in all four of his team’s goals in Saturday’s incredible 4-4 draw at home to Al Ittihad.
Fortounis, key to Al Khaleej moving into the top six, leads the 2025-26 RSL assist charts with seven - two ahead of the next best this season, Al Nassr's Kingsley Coman.
Also, Al Kholood youngster Abdulaziz Al Elewa collected the award for Young Player of the Month. The 21-year-old Saudi Arabian, a summer signing from Al Nassr, netted his second goal of the campaign when he scored the fifth in Al Kholood's 5-1 win against Al Najmah in Matchweek 5.
