The Saudi Pro League (SPL) and the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) held a joint technical workshop on Sunday to discuss a variety of technical issues.
The workshop, attended by coaches of the Roshn Saudi League clubs as well as Saudi Arabia national team head coach Roberto Mancini and SAFF Technical Director Nasser Larguet, discussed the future of Saudi football, reviewing multiple statistics covering club and player appearances, actual playing time for matches, benchmarked against international standards.
Part of the discussion was the 2024-25 season calendar including international and continental commitments of Saudi teams, with the clubs providing recommendations and proposals about the domestic calendar.
In attendance was SAFF President Yasser Al Misehal, SPL Vice Chairman and Interim CEO Saad Al Lazeez, SAFF General Secretary Ibrahim Al Kassim and SPL Director of Football Michael Emenalo.
