Carrasco, Al Nassr win big in February Monthly awards

Al Shabab's in-form Yannick Carrasco

Al Shabab star Yannick Carrasco took home the lead player honour, while Al Nassr were rewarded for their stellar spell in the latest Roshn Saudi League monthly awards.

Carrasco picked up Player of the Month for February following a superb showing, the Belgian forward scoring six goals and recording three assists to be directly involved in nine of Al Shabab’s 12 goals.

Undoubtedly, the highlight came in the rescheduled Matchweek 10, when Carrasco hit a hat-trick in his side’s 3-1 win in the derby with Al Riyadh. Al Shabab, with new manager Nourredine Ben Zekri in charge, registered four victories from six in the RSL to climb from the threat of relegation to 13th in the standings.

Meanwhile, table-toppers Al Nassr took home two awards for February, with Jorge Jesus winning a second Manager of the Month of the season and Bento named Goalkeeper of the Month.

It represented just reward for the pair, as Al Nassr reeled off six successive wins to reclaim the summit. Bento more than played his part, the Brazil international keeping clean sheets in five of those six RSL outings through February.

Elsewhere, Al Kholood rising star Abdulaziz Al Elewa landed a third Young Player of the Month of 2025-26. The 21-year-old winger appeared in all six of Al Kholood’s matches, his standout contribution to winner against Al Shabab in Matchweek 21.
