With the 2026-27 RSL Fantasy fast approaching, it is time to remember that fortune favours the brave. And in the world of fantasy football, fortunes don’t come any bigger than the SAR 500,000 total prize money on offer for RSL Fantasy winners.
While your private league rivals rush to get their hands on three-digit performers from last season or the biggest names across the league, a shrewder approach could be what sets you apart and scores you big come the end of the season.
Over the course of the next couple of days, we share some alternative picks that could emerge as prized RSL Fantasy assets in 2026-27, five players at a time.
First up: Goalkeepers.

Marcin Bulka (NEOM SC – SAR 4.5M)
The Polish international was unlucky in his debut Roshn Saudi League season, suffering an injury that kept him out for most of the campaign.
He returned only for NEOM Sports Club’s final six games and, despite not keeping any clean sheets in that period, Bulka averaged 4.3 points per match.
Now set to start between the sticks for Cristophe Galtier’s side for the new season, if Bulka is to replicate that form across a 34-game season, it would place him among the top goalkeepers of 2026-27 RSL Fantasy.

Mailson (Al Taawoun – SAR 5.0M)
The longest-serving international goalkeeper in the RSL has jumped from 88 points in 2024-25 to 149 points last term.
However, he is only the 10th most-owned stopper in Fantasy going into the first deadline of the 2026-27 season, at just more than eight percent.
Al Taawoun were fifth for goals conceded last season, while Mailson made the most catches and saved the most penalties in the competition.

Hamed Al Shanqiti (Al Kholood – SAR 4.0M)
Following the departure of Juan Pablo Cozzani, Al Kholood decided not to recruit a foreign goalkeeper, instead opting to place their faith in Al Ittihad youngster Hamed Al Shanqiti.
Signed on loan, the Saudi stopper is set to potentially become the only starting goalkeeper at the SAR 4.0M price point.
An international at Under-21 & U23 levels, Al Shanqiti has started only three RSL matches across the past two seasons. Thus, he's a sizeable gamble for coach Des Buckingham’s side and RSL Fantasy managers - but one with a huge upside should it work out.

Fernando Pacheco (Al Faisaly – SAR 4.5M)
Having proved his worth in the RSL last season in Al Fateh colours, the Spanish goalkeeper swapped Al Ahsa for Harmah, joining newly promoted Al Faisaly.
In 2025-26, Pacheco kept six clean sheets and produced 110 saves, contributing to a tally of 139 points, including 19 bonus points.
At SAR 4.5M and owned by little more than 4% of RSL Fantasy bosses, he could be a great differential choice.

Milan Borjan (Al Riyadh – 4.5M)
Even as he turns 39 in October, Borjan remains a cult hero among RSL Fantasy managers. The eccentric Canadian has picked up five yellow cards during the past two seasons, but more than made up for it with 110 saves, four clean sheets and seven bonus points. Those contributed to a tally of 145 points in 2025-26, up from 128 the previous season.
At SAR 4.5M and 10.5% ownership, the Al Riyadh No.1 is the ninth-most picked goalkeeper in the game - but he could very well end the season as one of the top five performers in his position.
