The Roshn Saudi League’s all-time top scorer is back to improve upon his historic numbers, after Al Hazem announced the signing of Syrian great Omar Al Somah.
The much-vaunted striker, who departed Al Orobah at the conclusion of last season, was confirmed as the promoted club’s star recruit on Wednesday – the eve of the 2025-26 RSL campaign.
Al Somah, 36, stands tall as the competition’s all-time top scorer – in the Saudi Pro League era – netting 155 times. Last season, he struck 11 goals in 17 RSL appearances to eventually stay five ahead of Al Shabab’s Abderrazak Hamdallah, his closest challenger in the overall charts.
A three-time golden boot winner from his record-setting time at Al Ahli, Al Somah will be charged with spearheading Al Hazem’s bid for a successful season.
The Ar Rass club, with new manager Jalel Kadri in the dugout, are involved in the very first match of the 2025-26 campaign, with Thursday’s away trip to Damac.
